Hi, I'm Mrs. Metcalf! I offer one-on-one virtual reading tutoring for students who need extra support. As a certificated teacher trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach, I use structured literacy methods to help students build both confidence and strong reading skills. I hold a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I am bilingual in Spanish and English and offer reading support in both languages. I’m passionate about helping students grow as readers and look forward to working with you!

How It Works

1. Reach out! Email me and let's discuss the needs of your child. Together, we will come up with a tutoring plan that best meets your family's needs.

2. Book sessions — use the link below to pick a date and time, choose your session type, and fill out the short form.

   • Introduction Session · 30 min — an initial meeting to connect with you and your child, discuss goals, and get to know their learning needs.
   • Tutoring Session · 60 min — one-on-one reading sessions with periodic assessments.
   • Conference · 30 min — follow-up to review progress and data.

3. Check your email for a confirmation with your virtual session link.

4. Pay for your tutoring sessions. Tutoring tuition is due before tutoring sessions begin. → Pay with Venmo

5. Happy mail — Learning materials will be sent to an address you provide with the fun reading materials you will need for our tutoring sessions.

   

6. Join the session using the link in your confirmation email — I look forward to meeting you!
